depends on the bike. I think most of the cruisers are made here. I would guess that most of the sportbikes are made in Japan.
I know the 599 is made in italy.
IIRC the 919 is made in Japan.
The goldwing is made in the US.

If memory serves bits and pieces of everything, as in ALL bikes are made all over the world. Very little can be considered to be demestic. Lots of Harly bits are made in Japan and China now, cheaper to manufacture.

I asked my dealer about the Shadow Spirit, he said it was made in Ohio.

More like Japan and Korea, actually, with some German electronics and Australian wheels added to the mix. I've also heard rumours that all of Harley's chroming for engine parts is done somewhere near Hamilton, Ontario but I haven't been able to find proof.

Most japanese manufacturers make their sportbikes in japan but everything else could be made just about anywhere.
I think suzuki makes their cruisers in the US. IIRC the SV650 is made in korea by Hyosung.

jmillheiser, I think you are mistaken on that. Hyosung has their own 650 bike, the GV650 (cruiser) and the GT650 (sport bike), using their own engine design. The only thing similar between the SV650 and he GT650 is the engine size.
SV650 is still built in Japan, to my knowledge. Hyosung used to make engines for Suzuki a long time, but I don't believe they are still doing that.

Does anyone know for sure if the Shadow Spirit is made here in Ohio as my Dealer says?
