Get Your Motor Runnin’ at the Calgary Motorcycle Show 2005
Press Release - Dec 21, 2005

The 2006 Calgary Motorcycle Show will run from noon Friday, January 6th to Sunday, January 8th at 5:00 p.m. at the Round-up Centre, Stampede Park.

This year’s Calgary Motorcycle Show will feature the newest 2006 models from BMW, Ducati, Deeley Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, Victory, Yamaha and Aprilia.

This Show truly offers something for everyone. The sheer adrenaline rush of the AMRA Indoor Mini-Road Racing is certain to get you pumped up for the season ahead. Don’t miss the breath-taking antics of Team Outlaw and the extreme MX Freestyle, sponsored by Canadian Kawasaki, this performance will leave audiences spellbound. Regan Seig, two-time Canadian MX Freestyle Champion will be performing some of his trademark stunts. If the shear beauty of these machines is what stops you in your tracks then The Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group’s display is sure to. These motorcycles date back to the early 1930’s, including a 1937 Indian Chief with the last engine that Walt Healey overhauled and an unrestored 1939 Triumph Speed Twin will leave you in awe. In addition, The Reynolds Alberta Museum will also be showcasing a variety of bikes dating back to 1915 promoting their “The Life and Times of the Motorcycle”. This exhibit explores the history of motorcycling from 1900 to the present. The Alberta Trials Riders Association will show their stuff as they demonstrate balance and skill while maneuvering over challenging obstacles. Parts Canada will host a fashion show highlighting the latest in bike fashions from ICON, Alpinestars, Thor and Z1R. Last but certainly not least the “want to be bikers” should stop by the Calgary Safety Council location. The kids can test drive “child size” motorized motorcycles or ATV’s. Safe riding, proper safety gear and training are all stressed to the “riders of the future”.

The Show will wrap up on Sunday with an elimination style grand prize draw sponsored by The Calgary Sun and CJAY 92. One lucky winner will ride away on a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic Cruiser, provided by Pro-Am Motorcycles and is valued at over $9,000.00.

The 2006 Calgary Motorcycle Show begins at noon on Friday, January 6th and continues through until Sunday, January 8th, at the Roundup Centre, Stampede Park. Admission is $12.50 for adults, $8.00 for juniors (6-15 years), and $30.00 for families (2 adults, 2 juniors). Kids under 6 get in free when accompanied by an adult.
