Rim question

Quick question for ya,
I have a 2000 sportster with the ugly stock rims. I just got a hook up to get some used rims off of a 92 dyna. My rims say 19x2.1 for the front and 16x3.00 for the rear. The guy told me that his rims are 19 front and 16 rear, what do the second set of numbers mean? And are they important? His is also a dual front disc setup, currently mine is a single front disc. I would like to keep the dual disc setup if at all possible, would it be possible to use these rims on my bike and convert it to dual front disc? I appreciate all the help.

The basic Sportys and Dynas both have 19x2.15" front and 16x3.0" rear rims. The 2.15 and 3.0 are the rim widths.

You would of course need additional parts to mount the 2nd disc. The new Sporty Roadsters have dual front discs so the parts must be available, they're probably same as the Dyna parts.

Thanks for the help. He has the spoke rims, which are very nice. I hate the stock sporty rims, but I am too cheap to spend the money on a new set.

You have the Mags right? Yeah I reckon they look OK.

Try Ebay for H-D Rims. I see em there all the time....CHEAP!

I've checked ebay a couple of times, they do have some deals. However, if I can use these used rims and also used the second front brake that would be a huge deal. I checked the HD website, the mod for the second front brake is like $300. I might just have to try and piece this thing together, might be cheaper.
