I see people using yamalube every so often but I don't really know what it is. What is yamalube?

It's only Yamaha's 'house' brand of lubricants. The stuff they sell in their dealerships and put their logo on. It's what they will recommend in all their products as preferred lubricants.

So it's like the honda brand of oil that's the same stuff you can buy anywhere but they convince owners that you need to pay lots of extra $$ because theirs is "specially made for honda vehicles"?
