Stopped by police!!!!

#1 Unread post by niterider »

I have never been stopped by the police, while riding my bike, in my 10 yrs. or so of bike riding. I was wondering how it has been for the rest of us out there in bike world. If you like you might let us know the reason for the stop.

In 22 years of street riding, I've never been stopped. I had one cop flip his lights on at me once, but he was headed the opposite direction on the hiway and I was pushing my RD-350 to break a ton (took alot of pushing for that to happen). He started to turn around, gave up and turned off his lights, cause I was good as gone to him by then...... 8)

As a punkass kid, I had plenty of cops try to get me to stop while I was on a dirtbike, but there is no way a car can catch a dirtbike if the biker don't want him to. A few quick turns and into a field or woods.... he's headed to the donut shop to drown his sorrows.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

My record is getting pulled over 3 times in a single day on a 400 mile trip on my sport bike, I do use a radar detector, I do speed, The bike and full gear make me look guilty

No tickets on the bike though

I've been riding for about 27 yrs. and used to get stopped all the time. Mostly for speeding, but I once torqued an unintentional wheelie off a stoplight with a cop sitting right behind me. What a maroon!

I still ride above the limit, but I guess I've gotten much better at watching out for the law. I haven't been pulled over since 1992.

Just wondering but what type of ticket did the cop give you for doing a wheelie, careless driving?

Actually, after the requisite lecture, he forgave the wheelie and just wrote me up for busting the speed limit as I exited the intersection. Cops were a lot more easygoing about that sort of thing back then. I'm sure nowadays the same stunt would get a careless or reckless citation.

After 10 years of hard riding on my 1974 sportster I was pulled over. The cop asked me if I knew why he pulled me over. I said No. He said it was because my old sporty didn't have any turn signals. I told him I wasn't turning but he didn't care. I told him that in Pa turn signals are optional pre 1975. He told me he'd find out for sure and then mail me my ticket. He must of found out the truth because I never got a ticket for it. That one turned out better than most.
