When Summer returns our local traffic cops take great delight in giving tickets for wearing darkend full face visors.
Yet wear the darkest sun glasses you can find under your clear visor thats ok. Strange but true
What bugs you about your locals ?

That's against the law in your neck of the woods? Sounds rather draconian. Just out of curiosity, what is the reason that they don't want you wearing them. Here in the desert, I'd be blind without my dark visor in the summertime.
To answer your question, the cops around here don't do anything in particular that bugs me. They're usually pretty liberal about speeding (no one in Phoenix does the speed limit) and will only ticket you if you're really overdoing it. I haven't been on the wrong end of a speeding ticket for nearly 15 years, and I'm almost always going above the limit on my bike.

I haven't had a ticket since 1975. I usually go with the flow of traffic, which around here is usually about 10mph above the speed limit (i.e. 70 in a 60 zone). Most times when someone gets stopped, its for a pretty flagrant reason (ask my kids) and they deserve it.
I've never had any trouble with the man. My hats are off to them (at least most of them). They have a thankless job that I wouldn't want.

Here's a photo of the last time a cop gave me a hard time. The cop was my son and it was all posed, but hey it was fun.

Not really strange, but I got pulled over for making a U-turn at a red light that, of course wasn't going to change. Me and my buddy knew this so we just went through it. Got pulled over, but didn't get a ticket, so that's good.

I got a speeding ticket about a month ago for going less than the speed of traffic. Granted I was still going 10 over but cars were passing me like I was standing still. Then the cops wouldn't talk to me, brought me a ticket and asked me to sign a part saying that he had explained the ticket to me. Well I asked him a question because I was unsure about how it was worded and he interrupted me and said "Sir, please just sign the damned thing"
What a jerk.
Anyway, this happened 350 miles from home but only 100 miles from my girlfriends school so I'm going to the court date to try and get the points taken off. I heard a rumor that cops schedule people who live far away for the same court date hoping that they will just mail in or call in the payment on the ticket so they don't have to be there. Anyone else ever hear of this?

They wouldnt talk to you? No "do you know why I pulled ya over son?"
Sounds like the guy just had to meet his quota and you were "moe".

I don't know all the laws, but they should've explained it to you. You might be able to get it thrown out.
