I've hit the dang wall! Have the forks off, have the top seals removed, forks drained, and now I'm peering into the forks themselves...ah, Yamaha.

Here's the problem:

I have an 8mm allen bolt on the bottom of the forks and what appears to me to be either a 15 or 16 mm allen bolt in the damn forks themselves. Which require me to have two allen sockets working in tandem(see crappy illustration below) to get the fork tube loose enough to pull free and replace the remainder of the seals and such.

I can't find the "Yamaha Factory Tools" (parts: YM-01326 and YM-01365) that I need.

Does anyone know where to go to find the correct tool I need so I can finish taking apart my forks to put the replacement parts in and get them back on my bike? What I'm looking for is an allen wrench fix for a Yamaha headache.

Any assistance or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I help my friend do that on his virago, and the thing is that after you remove the allen bolts both on the top (the spring pops out so be careful) and the allen bolt at the bottom (this is actually the drain plug and also holds the damper in place). the inner fork tube will now slide freely , but it seems to stop just before its supposed to pop out of the lower tube.

What we did was just give it a good tug (get a friend to hold the otehr end). The fork seals sit tight and hence dont simple slide out even after removing the waveclip/circlip. So giving a good tug should jar the old seals out and everything comes apart. Reassemble in reverse order.
