About protective gear.

I was lokking at some Jackets and kawasaki.com and i found the ATV/Off-Road chest guards.

Are those good options for protection or is it waste of money?
Is it effective on preventing spine injuries?

TKS.

those are better at protecting you in an off-road fall, where the speed is likely to be lower and the landing a little softer. I don't think that they would really survive a tumble on pavement very well.

When i look at the protective gear at MOTO GP, you see a gr8 variety os guards made for you to slip whan you fall down...

I mean. Instead of burning on the black top, you slide.

Is there any kind of protective gear like this available for street consumers?
If so. What kind of material is it?

What your thinking is just the hard armor on the racing leathers. Slides easier than soft armor and handles the high speed imapacts in a racing crash better.

They also have special sliders on their knees and the toes of their boots since its pretty common for their knees and the toes of their boots to drag in a turn.

They do have a hard back protector for spine protection that fits inside their leathers. Its the strongest piece of armor in their gear so when they go down thats what they try to slide on.
