woohoo!
i just got a quote from AAA.
so currently, i have my car insured and now im gonna add my bike.
the quote for liability only for the car and comprehensive for my bike will only be $1,597 annual.
this is so freaking awesome! other companies i called are charging almost $10,000 for a comprehensive insurance for my bike alone. that's like buying my bike over and over each year.
im soooooooooooo happy!

Are you sh*tting me, or was that a typo?

nope, no typo
progressive, survival, farmers etc.
all of them demand ridiculous amounts to insure my bike.
im actually surprised i am still considered a "good driver"

did you buy a brand new 12,000$ ducati at like age 17 w/ no experience or something?

Heh, I pay $600 Canadian a year...
There is something to be said for the smaller cheaper starter bike.
Oh, if you take the MSF course most insurance companies will offer you a discount when you pass. Around here you get treated as a second year rider.

What's a California roll? Sounds like sushi to me.

doing a "Califoria Roll" is basically rolling through a stop sign only slowing down a little rather than stopping.

it's basically on stop sign...
you slow enough to look at the intersection, and then proceed w/o fully stopping.
it's kinda ridiculous since it was on a 4-way stop, no vehicles on the other 3 sides, but since it was night time, i didn't notice it was cop car behind me until i saw the sirens

That totally sucks, I know I've done my fair share of those before.
Anyways, like I said above, talk to the companies again once you've taken the MSF they should cut you a slightly better deal. And you probably want to make a point of not claiming any small damage that you happen to incur while riding. As even a single claim bumps you into a "higher risk" bracket, sadly this holds true even if you're the victem of vandalism, or something that is not your fault.
