or can someone direct me to a cheaper site?

im getting the dark smoke color.

and more importantly, will the dark smoke color provide 100% visibilty against sunlight?

i just realized how much i needed this, when the sunlight was facing me today at practice, it really affected my vision so bad.

I don't know about cost; My visor for my Shoei cost around 80$CAD. You do the conversion and note I got no deal of any kind.

As far as how dark it is; it'll provide the effectiveness of an average pair of tinted sunglasses. If you're an average person, you'll probably do fine. Me, I'm quite sensitive to light. I squint even in overcast, so I tend to wear sunglasses underneath my tinted visor (BTW I got the darkest tint Shoei offered; don't take anything less).

I have a normal tint on my HJC, I squint a little riding into the sun, but otherwise I'm fine. And it's light enough that I can ride at night.

im curious about that spectra mirror color, it looks so cool but i wonder how effective it is.

does anybody here have that spectra mirror visor? how is it?

It's like a pair of mirrored sunglasses. Try thinking of everything that you're looking at as sunglasses and it'll make more sense. Basically it makes it tougher to see in, but from the inside it's like a normal dark tint. Definately the bling factor as opposed to the utility of the item. If you're willing to spend the extra money to pay for the mirrored finish go for it. Otherwise, a tinted one will do the same.

Alternately if you don't need prescription lenses (I do). You could just buy a pair of $10 sport sunglasses and wear those.

i just got my new dark smoke visors and it looks good on my wine red RF1000 helmet.

i already installed it and went outside tonight (just on foot w/ the helmet on) and it's not so dark from my point of view. i like it, now i don't have to wear shades anymore.
