This is a bike I want to buy from a friend but we cant get power past the ignition. I used a meter and there is power at the 30 amp fuse but no power to the other 3 fuses past that. My thinking is it's either the ignition is bad or possibly the main switch? When the key is turned on we get nuthin'. This bikes in fair condition with low miles and the price is right. I'd really like to get it started before I buy it. He said it was running fine 3 months ago and he parked it and now it won't start. If someone can give me some hints he and I would greatly appreciate it.
Respectfully,
Jeff

Hi Jeff, XJ750 is a PIA when it comes to electrics.
The Main fuse is wired straight to the battery - it always has power
Are you sure all of your ground wires are secure?
Is the bike out of gear? (Starter kill switch)
It's possible your ign is bad, but it's probably something alot easier.
