What's this stuff on my gas tank?

My Radian's gas tank seems to pick up the weirdest stuff. I don't know why, but it seems to be a magnet for collecting these things! For example, on today's ride, there was some blue colored stickey thing attached to the switch for my heated gloves. It wasn't there when I started my ride! It's also all over where the gas tank meets my seat, too.

Before that, some white powdery substance was all over the front of the tank, too. Looks like White-Out and it continually reappears. Do I just have a strange collection of bugs in the area or what? The front of my bike doesn't have anything that would cause these colors!

I also learned the tank loves sucking bugs onto it, where they are promptly blown between my legs. Imagine my surprise when I made a stop in Moscow, ID and found a hornet stuck to my jeans!

Anybody else's bike have this kind of problem? This is less of a tech thread and more of a "what kind of crazy stuff collects on your bike" one. :)

As long as it doesn't come back with lipstick on it!

...wait, that might not be too bad, I'll just have to trail it, one night... :humm:

I'm pretty sure my bike has loose morals. I think she'd take on anything in pants. If I didn't keep her locked up in the garage who knows what would happen. Probably come wobbling home in the wee hours, saddlesore.
I guess I'm just not getting the job done.

I know that kind of surprise.... Had a hornet get sucked up into my helmet (Between the chin bar and my chin), just flapping it's wings a bit, sitting next to the visor.... One emergency stop later, and a bit of breath catching, I was on the road again thankfully unscathed.
