gears one to two knackered!

#1 Unread post by bloomers »

Hey fellas got a Honda Dominator, and all of a sudden trying to go from1st to 2nd is a nightmare. refuses to slip into second without a kick from hell. the travel between all gears is long now for some reason??? I literally have to raise my foot of the peg to change gear???

is this selector fork trouble?? weird that the selector travel is now so obvious???

any help fellas would be gratefully appreciated.

How many kilometers on the clock? How's the bike been treated? How mechanical are you? You may want to get a manual and dig into it to see what's bent....

I know, that's not much help, but you came to the right place for it.

You might want to check easier stuff, which I'm sure you have but you never know. You're saying you have to lift way up now for all the gears. Did the position of the lever change maybe? I know on mine you can adjust it in either way extremely and could throw you off a lot.
