http://www.dragginjeans.com/Barracuda.htm (the red one)

http://www.dragginjeans.com/Armor.htm (the jacket armor upgrade)

The jacket sizes you see are probably the chest measurement. A normal chest is around 40 I would say. I know I'm around 38 though.

Be aware that Draggin' jeans are not going to give you much in the way of impact protection.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

I'd go with those Alter Ego pants from Joe Rocket. They're armored in the knees, and padded in the hips. The fabric is abrasion resistant (so I'm told), and there are parts in the thighs that zip out for ventilation on hot days. They also have zippered legs so if you wear them over other pants you can take them off with ease. The Draggin Jeans seemed ok for sliding on the asphalt, but I have this paranoia about breaking a hip or leg from a fall. If a little neoprene or impact armor might prevent that then count me in.

Neither are regular pants.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Blunt force is hard to protect against. Would regular riding pants even protect you from the impact? I'd think they wouldn't work like a helmet (nor could work like a helmet) and fracture when you get in a crash.
Have fun on the open /¦\
