OK, So I bought my first and current bike with my own money, because my parents didnt want to help me die as they put it, and have owned it for about four months now. It is a 1982 Suzuki SP250 thumper. It was running fine until recently. I was just riding down the road and all of a sudden it acted like it wasn't getting any gas so I switched to reserve. It didn't help. What it was doing was not reving past a certain point so it was bucking. I have no clue because of no tach. Me and my dad took the carbs off and cleaned them to no avail. I dont know what else to do. There is no way I can get a manual because I can't find one so I need your help. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any crud in the tank, your petcock may have gotten jammed up, reducing fuel flow to the carbs. You can find a parts diagram on bike Bandit - click HERE

should be relatively easy to remove the petcock and disassemble it for cleaning.

make sure the carbs are clean.sounds like a jet is clogged.one piece of sand is all it takes.make sur your air filter is clean and the air box as well.my cx 500 did the same thing when i got it.i cleaned the jets and it would improve for a little bit then do it again.my air filter was after market foam filter that sucked and kept clogging my carbs up.fuel supply as well if theres a filter make sure its new.make sure you have good spark to if need be.
