MSF or BUST

Ok folks...
I'm MSF-bound. Signed up this morning. I was hoping to get to do it in March but there were only weekdays available. I figure if I'm going to take three straight vacation days off work, I'm going to be riding MY bike
So April it is...

i would like to bring my own bike too. mine is gonna be this coming feb 18.
but they have 350cc limit and if they find out what my bike is, they'll probably give me hard time or even fail me w/o giving me a chance.
so i'll keep my bike a secret when i go there next month.

No no no...I don't want to ride MY bike in the MSF...The course is 3 days...either 3 weekdays or Fri, Sat, Sun...So if I'm going to take three days off in the middle of the week, I want to have my lic. already, be legal and ride my bike...Vacation days are for, well, vacating...hahahah

You can't ride your own bike on MSF, BRC. You might be able to after the hour and if your instructor allow. This is for safety since it is a beginner course and assumption of inexperience riders and believe me there will be some drop on the course. If ERC (Experience Riding Course) then you have no choice but your own bike and they don't care what kind of bike you have.

You can take the BRC on your bike. Only stipulation is the instructor has to insepct it first to make sure its in good working order.
I would suggest NOT taking the MSF course on your own bike, that way if you drop it you dropped their bike and not yours.

I just took the ERC on my bike - and did drop it. Don't take the BRC on your own scoot.

Using your own bike for the BRC/MSF is just silly. The course fee includes the use of a bike, and you'll be doing some tricky stuff so why risk dropping your new bike?
Dont have to keep your motorcycle a secret either. A guy in our class rode his Road King to both the class room and practical part of the course. The look on his face when the instructor took the opportunity to point out the Police have the right to confiscate a motorcycle if the rider doesnt have proper licensing was a classic!

In PA, you can't use your own in the BRC. For the ARC, it's mandatory that you bring your own.
