I'm not a very big guy. I'm about 5'7" and 140lbs.

So, even "small" sized mens gear tends to be kinda big on me.

Women riders often complain that most women's gear is just smaller-versions of men's gear and doesn't fit properly because they don't take female curves into account.

So, I'm thinking, "Hey! That might be exactly what I need! Women's gear that women completely hate! Might fit me perfectly!"

So, ladies, any suggestions on gear that fits you terribly?

Oh, and in case you want to see how silly I look in my loose, oversized, non-fitting gear, here's a photo. Keep in mind, this is a SMALL Frank Thomas Strike suit and it's still big on me:

Sorry to steal the thread but yes they do look a little baggy. What about a jacket with adjustable straps?

And, um, no on the adjustable-strap jacket. I just want something that fits.

Well I dont know what to tell you because I am 5'10" and 150. I've got a First Gear mesh jacket that fits fairly well but it does have adjustable straps so I guess its not what you're looking for. It fits well, but only comes in silver/black and isn't 'stylish'.

I don't know if you're dead set on racing leathers. But I just tried on the Joe Rocket Atomic 2.0 in small and it fit me almost perfectly with a sweater underneath. And I'm a whopping 5'8" and 120lbs. That plus a pair of decent rider pants and you'd be all set.

LA is a big place - Can someone modify your current suit to fit you better?

Barring that, maybe you should look into a fitted suit. Dainese and some of the other top manufacturers make their suits based on actual size (like Size 44, etc) I think you'd do much better to purchase a fitted suit and forget about S,M,L etc. (Though it may cost you more)

He's in LA ... probably already too hot with a t-shirt

But he weighs 20lbs more then me. Which is a lot more bulk then one little sweater

Definately look into Fitted gear.

Alpinestars, Tecknic, Spidi, Hein Gericke, and Vanson all use numeric sizing, so it should be easier to find gear that fits.

Cool. Yeah, the S, M, L sizing of the Frank Thomas stuff just doesn't cut it.
