Anyone use Kenda tires? Looking for opinions. Have a '95 800 Intruder, needs tires. Kenda's seem realy well priced. Maybe for a reason?

You are right. There is a reason. You don't have a large contact patch with the road anyway. Get good tires.

For a dirt bike maybe but not a street bike. Like said above, your tires are your lifeline so don't go with your cheapest option. The extra $$$ you save won't matter if you go down due to a crappy tire. ;)

Kenda makes a great rear tire - for the dirt!

One of the best buys now for older bikes and cruisers is the Dunlop D404, an OEM tire for several cruisers. You can get a pair for about $100 plus shipping. Check prices here:

Actually the Kenda tires are not all that bad in my opinion, among the better Chinese tires. My 02 GS500 came slightly used with a K657 rear that I ran till spring and put on a set of AV45/46 radials. Put about 5k miles on that Kenda and it was probably as good or better than the OEM Excedras on the GSs. Was only half worn when I took it off. I never pushed it in the wet though like I do a good sport touring radial.

Add PS: Just noticed you have a 78 GS750E, my son put a D404 on the rear of his 80 GS750E and he's still hard to keep up with. <G>

I have a Kenda rear on my 450 Kawi and I don't find it particularly confidence inspiring in corners.
