I understand (and appreciate) the point of the advertisement but the bike wasn't even there the first time.

They could have at least put him in the frame and had the frame change quicker to represent the amount of time someone generally spends on looking.

Its hard to say, you can't really see down the road since the driver's head blocks your view.

Man, it scared me the first time!

If you look close you can see him off in the distance. But he's small, and tough to see. Watch it again, and look at the slow mo replay.

Well that's what I mean. He's blatantly there the second time they show it but the first time I can't see him.

I just watched it again (and paused it) and he's definately not there the first time around.

Camera angles probably off but I think it loses some of its effectiveness when the cager can't even see him in the first place.

There is no way the bike was in the first part, and even if it was, the guy's head is in the way, so you can't see anyway.

I agree, the ad is completely bogus. The first time around the driver's head completely blocks the camera's view down the road. The second time (you, the viewer, now aware of the bike) the biker is in plain sight. I understand the purpose and point of the ad, but by the time I saw it on TV for the second time I'd be wondering if the UK's DOT thought I was an idiot.

You guys are looking at it the wrong way...

Ok...granted the bike wasn't in the first segment. But I think the point they're trying to illustrate is that if you DON'T take the TIME to check, you won't SEE the bike. That, my friends, I believe is the point.

Cheerz.

Are there ads like this in the US? If not, why not?
