What would you do?
What would you do?
I've been thinking about this after reading the to lend or not topic.
What would you do if your spouse/significant other loaned out your bike without permission? My husband has done it at least twice. He has a spare key to it but I'm very tempted to take it back. One guy he loaned it to, I wouldn't even trust with my truck let alone my bike.

I'd tell him exactly how uncool that is and then revoke his key... but that's just my 7 cents.
We're the first ones to starve
We're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie in the sky
But we're always the last
When the gravy's shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

I wouldn't like that one bit, and my wife would never do it anyway. I'd say confront him in love, and get hime on the same page with you.
Ride safe...God bless!

Tell him that if his friends dump your bike, you get to dump his, and/or cut his balls off. The more serious answer would be to get the key back and tell him what's what about being a dick when you're not around. I'd be worried about what else he does with your stuff when you're not looking.

Toyuzu has a good point, so once you've informed your husband of his place in the pecking order hit him with a lump of 2by4 and tell him not to do it again.
Actually loaning your bike out like that without your permission is very uncool and is, even if he dosnt realise it, taking you for granted.
If you are cool with your beloved riding your bike suggest to him that, if he needs to lend a bike to someone, he lends his bike out and rides yours until he gets his bike back.
I'd lend my bike to trusted friends, most of which are on here, but I'd never lend out Jules' without her permission.

In both my cars, the registration and insurance card are in a sealed enveope with a short note to the police printed in blue and red on the outside in LARGE letters.
It says we NEVER lend the cars, and if the person driving it is not on the registration, to arrest them for stealing. So, loaning is not an issue in my family.
On the bike, it will be even less so.

Remove his key, and possibly even thise sensitive parts that distinguish him as male...
to lend out your own bike is one thing, to lend out someody elses without permission is just plain wrong. I can imagaine how i'd react if my keys were handed to someone without my say-so!

Don't give up.
Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.
If you never give up, you can never truly fail.
