Yesterday my buddy who rolled his truck and busted up his leg called me and asked if I could come over and move some furniture around for him that evening. Sure, I'm nothing if not helpful, right? He called back later and said his foot was swelling up from being on it all day, and could I stop and grab a bag of ice for him, since he lives on an acreage and his truck is now a mangled ball of metal and plastic in the wreckers yard. Sure thing, Bro. I'm on my way.

So me and Lana jump in the truck and beetle out to see Wes.

And I walk in and see this.....





And a few good buddies, a table of booze bottles and another table of other, more organic libations, lots of food.... hey, looks like a party.

Good fun was had by all, even for what is rapidly becoming a bunch of old farts. One nice thing about getting older is, never once last night was there observed.... a fight, an impending pregnancy, or the cops. Unlike when we used to when we did this in our 20's.....

The picture of the cake may be giving a bit too much away about myself.... but I really thought it was cool my wife went out and bought the bikes and had the thing done up like that. And now I have 2 new model bikes to add to the ones on the computer desk.....

I'm gonna go lay down again..... I think I might be allergic to alcohol.....

Hey Thanx guys....

Hitting any specific number b-day never really bothers me, I don't really think about it that often. I feel pretty much the same as I did at 25, not much brighter than I was back then either.... except that I realize nobody else really knows what the hell is really going on either.

Most of what I received in loot can't really be mentioned on a nice, wholesome forum like this, but I'm good for a month or so......
No new SV likely to take up residence either. I think I have Lana talked down to a used EX500.....I'm working on convincing her into an XS650, so I can have it to carve up when she's done with it. But her main criteria for any bike is 'I don't want no junky looking bike'..... and it seems all the XS's I've shown her appear junky.... Oh well, still a couple of months till spring.

Until then, this is what it looks like on my street, today and pretty much all winter. Not much chance of a ride for awhile yet.....








Unless Gummi wants to ship me his Ural for a week or so......
It looks perfect for the conditions around here......
