Does anyone live in FL and know of motorcycle dealers in the Central Florida area? I have been trying to find some online but can't fine many. I have been to the Seminole Powersports store in Sanford. I am looking for places where you may be able to get a good deal on used bikes.
Thanks,
Eric

http://www.craigslist.org/ check that, got some good deals on used bikes but not dealers. As for used dealers, check out your local yamaha/suzuki/watever dealers and ask em if they know

Eric, what type of bike are you looking for? I'm selling an 04 Alphasports GV250
I live in the UCF area, but go to Lake Mary frequently. I've been to Seminole Powersports, they have had pretty good deals every time I have been in there.... there is a suzuki shop on 17/92 right after General Hutchinson (spellling?), and there are a few bike shops on East Colonial (highway 50). Check cycletrader.com too.
You can also try going to yahoo.com, clicking on the local tab, type motorcycle, and put in your zip code.

Check out the Victory dealer for a used Vic! You can get a good $ on a used one. Depends on what type of riding you are looking for, but the Kingpin is a classy ride!

Thanks for the links and info. I didn't know about several of those.
I have not heard of the Alphasports GV250 but will have to look that one up. I really am just looking for about anything that doesn't cost too much and I can learn on. I posted a little ad in the "Wanted" section in TMW.
I have never ridden before so I don't want something too powerful but something I can learn on. I am going to sign up for the motorcyle class soon but was hoping I would have something to practice on.
I have driven by the Harley dealership in Orlando but have never stopped yet.

That is exactly what this is Eric, it is probably the best bike you could learn on.
check out

and the comparisons:

This was my first bike, and it is in great condition, never down. I got it right before my MSF, and learned some clutch control before I took it. If you want to come look at it, we can set something up.

It is a very cool looking bike. I was looking at some of your pictures of it. It does look like a good bike to learn on. Plus I really don't need something that goes faster than 80!
My only concern is the price. It costs about the same as some new bikes I could get and I would hate to spend so much on something that I would be learning on.
Are you giving up riding or do you have other bikes?

I have another bike, and I just started a project car, so I need some more garage space too..
The bike costs more that that new, and honestly, it is still basically new. Just about 500 miles on it. Plus, you wouldn't get out of a dealer with 3k out the door even on a rebel, and this is a lot nicer. I also added a centerstand and engine guards (about 100 a piece). These sell for between $3400 and $4000 new, and that is before dealer fees, setup fees, and all that jazz.
Good thing about beginner bikes, is they are always in demand. Should be able to learn for a season and trade up without too much depreciation. I'm taking the initial hit because I bought it new, I expected that all along... It was the only 250 I was comfortable on, so it was worth it.
I honestly wouldn't mind keeping it, it is great to ride, but I can't afford to insure two bikes for myself (not to mention my car). The 65mpg doesnt hurt the wallet though... shoot me an email at
flames_of_excidium@yahoo.com if you are interested though, we could try to work something out.

I'm in the Tampa Bay area, but try:
www.westcoastpowersports.com in the Orlando area.
In my neck of the woods, try:
www.westcoastpowersports.com and ask for Tim. He won't feed you a bunch of c%@p.
West Coast Powersports has a great selection. They are located on Florida Ave. just north of Fletcher Ave.
I bought my 2006 Honda VTX 1300 C there for a great price.
