It's a wonder most riders don't get smacked by their Motorcycle after they depart from it!!

Excellent vid. Enjoyed it immensely.
I hoped to see the crashes from last year's 125, 250 and MotoGP Motegi races.
There are a couple of crashes in there that I haven't tried yet.

It amazes me how far they can slide on those leathers....I swear they slide 1,000 feet before coming to a stop, without so much as a scratch on them (or sometimes not even on their suits)...
I wish I could afford stuff like that. Would make me a bit more confident in my riding, knowing that if I went down, I wouldn't have to worry about anything breaking or tearing or whathaveyou.

Really....there are no guarantees that simply by wearing that sort of gear that when/if you depart your bike, that your going to be "Just Fine" after you come to rest. Not for a minute.

yeah, but if nothing hits you or you don't hit anything very hard.
i think there's a pretty high chance you can just stand up and dust yourself.
you don't want something like this to happen.

Yeah, that would suck.
I understand that during a crash they could hit their head in just the wrong way, or any other part of their body for that matter.
Which brings up a question...All of the riders seem very good at falling. Do they practice? Or is it just 'instinct'?

A seasoned racer has "learned" to crash.

Tell that to Wayne Rainey.
He had a very simple low side, slid down the road and off into the gravel. Seemed harmless enough, but hitting the ripple strip at the wrong angle was enough to sever his spinal cord.
Crashing and not getting hurt is dumb luck.
