YEah. You know what? This is dangerous We all know that
But I see it as the stupid die soon, and the smart live long.
The stats breakdown...
50% of motorcycle fatalities occur when the rider drunk or unlicenced.
another 25% are from rider error (like my accident was, I was going to fast, no one's fault but my own.)
And 25% are from other driver error (car pulling in front of you).
So, statistically, If I'm riding licenced and sober, at the speed limit on a clear and sunny day, I've just reduced my accident potential by 75%.
I bet this guy is afraid to walk in the city, or even to the mailbox.

Gotta hate something I guess. Although creating a website to express that hatred is entirely optional.

a recent conversation here at work. ( I had an accident last summer).
"How was your weekend?"
"Great. The weather was beautiful. I even got the bike out for a ride."
"Oh! Are you still riding that deathtrap?"
"Yeah. Do you still smoke?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Because then you can't tell me about self destructive behavior!"
....
"See you tomorrow"

The older you get, the less you have to lose.

I didn't really see anything wrong with the site. While the tone seemed a bit overzealous, I didn't see much distortion of facts (which you usually see on anti-xxxxx sites). The overall message was that motorcycling is dangerous, which it is.
I think everyone considering motorcycle riding should see that site. Way too many people rationalize the dangers away without actually assesing the risks involved.

Sites like that I think are needed. From what I saw on the site, some of those people were not wearing any gear. That one picture of the guy severed in half at the bottom is scary though. No one wants to think they will die that way. It does anger me how stupid some drivers are. I hope some of those people went to prison for there stupidity.
