My buddy's 996 Duc

#1 Unread post by vector18 »

A buddy of mine just picked up a 996 Duc and did some cosmetic work to it. I just wanted to share it with the site and get some opinions or suggestions for him. What ya think?

it's nice. 7.5/10

im not a big fan of undertail pipes plus i like the front lights setup of the 999 better than the 996.

I think it looks pretty nice. At first I didn't understand why the rims were different colors but than I noticed the green/white decal. I like when pipes are under the tail personally.

I see the green & white theme you got going with the wheels and decal, but i say the wheels should be grey like the bike.

Or maybe even a darker grey then the bike for a little contrast.
Would also paint the gold center of the front brake rotor anything besides gold.

i think it looks pretty sweet. i like underrail pipes, probably becasue my first time ever on a motorcycle i was a pillion and i burned the crap out of my leg when i swung it over to far and it landed and rested on the exhaust.

I think he made a complete mess outta the whole thing. At this piont the only way to salvage anything out of it at all is for him to send that bike to me, get a new one and start over......

The color scheme makes it look like a track bike. Still a pretty bike in any case
