Motorcycle SHows?

#1 Unread post by -Holiday »

Anyone know a good resource to find out where motorcycle shows are in any given area?
I've never been to one and I'd like to check one out.
Not just choppers or anything, but all bikes...

i guess what im asking for is recommendations on what ones are good, consisdering im into all kinds of bikes, but especially old brit, japanese, and italian bikes, cafe racers, and even scooters.

In other workds, i dont want to go to a show and see harleys and custom choppers.

Do a google search on motorcycle shows and the area you live in.

ok, let me try this:

I'm familiar with google, and have in fact tried several searches.

I'm looking for someone to recommend a good show based on what I said I was looking for above ie, not just harleys, custom bikes etc.

You cant get opinion from a google search :)
at least not in this case...

Unfortunately, due to the demographics, there is no way to get completely away from "harleys and choppers."

The International Motorcycle Show is all manufacturers, not dealers (though area dealers are hit up for staffing at their respective make's booth), so you'll see the full line up of what is available from nearly every make.

Not sure where that show is right now, but google away. This show was in Washington DC on Jan 9th and NYC on Jan 20th to help you nail it down.

Also, did you try my "let's ride" link. It will zero in on events for any area. Very good resource. I've not found one bike show or exhibition that didn't have Harleys and choppers - so good luck on that one. I feel the same as you though, I would like to avoid having to see them at all.

Most shows will have a web site and will inform you of what type of show it is and what the vendors will be.

Fly to South Africa in April, we have our AMID show where for a small insurance fee we can ride all the manufacturers bikes around Kyalami racetrack.
