bought a shadow instead lol

I went and got a 85 shadow tonight...nice bike only has 9,000 on it..has jardine (spelling??)..pipes new tires and new seat...paid 500 cant beat that...alot better then a non running katana for double the price :laughing:

If you do not know all that much about bikes i'de at least take it into a shop so they can look it over for you. I'de hate for you to get out there and find out there is a problem. Seeing that it is an 85 i'de flush all brake fluid, change coolant, oil & filter, fuel filter,check tires " side wall cracks are bad ".

That't all I can think of for the basics for now. Keep on top of the maitenance so you don't run into problems later.

And yes the shadow is a great bike. Ive had friends who've owned them and rode them for many happy miles.

Yeha i know a decent amount about bikes from riding dirt for a long time...the bike was just seviced..the only thing i need to do is bleed the front brakes........it has new tires so im good there.......im glad to here its a good bike...probably a better first then a katana....thanks alot for the input
