Installing a CAT

#1 Unread post by CNF2002 »

What would be involved, would you say, in installing a catalytic converter along the exhaust system of a motorcycle?

Just ask Kawasaki...they managed to put one on my bike.

(but it'll be gone this weekend!)

haha. CATs are dumb (both real cats and CATs) No cat in my house, no CAT on my bike. no CAT on my jeep. CATS are worthless

Well, I'm gonna sound like a tree hugger, but I like cats. Both house and vehicle. They serve a good purpose. That whole environment, clean air thing. :D

I love the CAT-removal BS... fact is that most modern cars don't gain anything from removing the cat, but idiots want to do it anyway. Why don't you remove the oxygen sensor instead? That's what tells the ECU to lean out the mixture... and we all know lean = low HP.

Ride it like you think owning it matters.

Removing your CAT and adding a fat muffler adds 20hp. Also adding a chrome intake to your engine adds 5hp, and all the stickers are 1hp each.

New a guy who, instead of putting the stickers all over his car, he just stacked them on top of each other. The guy was a genius and his car probably had at least a 50hp boost.
