Hi

At what milleage interval is it best to change to oil on a sportbike? Becuase i heard that sportbike have higher RPM and should be oil changed more often than Cruisers...Is that thrue?
And what is the best oil(synthectic or regular oil)?

on my K6 owner's manual, after the 600 mile break-in maintenance...

oil needs to changed every 3500 miles or every year whichever comes 1st.

And for the synthetic oil do you know if its better for bike to?

it says to use Suzuki Performance 4 Motor Oil or any SAE 10W-40 equivalent.

wait until it's properly broken in before you use synthetic though. Using synthetic too soon will lengthen the break in process. So wait to a good 10k miles before you use full synthetic. I don't think a blend would be too bad after a few thousand miles though.

Will using synthetic oil after 10000 miles will make my engine last longer, because i know synthetic is higher quality oil...so will this affect the life of my engine?

It'll help it spin easier, so yeah, it hsould help some.

Why not refer to your owner's manual? Just a thought.

Cause i buyed the bike used..a 2003 CBR 600 RR and i aint have the owner manual with it.
