Hey guys, I'm looking to buying my first bike. I'm 18 years old and about 180 lbs. I'm looking at either an R6, CBR6 f4i, gsxr6, or zx6. I have prior experience on everything but a motorcylce. I have a factory race snowmobile, modded standup jet ski, modded 4 wheeler, and I've ridden a dirtbike before. I am looking to what you think is the best out these bikes and why?
Thanks,
Eddy

try the kawasaki ninja 650R.

i heard it's good for beginners and yet still can be fun for experienced riders.
but if you really wanna buy one of those race replicas... then just be xtra more careful.

Of the things you've listed, all but dirtbiking has nothing to do with motorcycles. And there is a great difference between dirtbikes and streetbikes. I second the ninja 650.

I think that the SV650 is the best, but that is MHO. lotsa grunt and not a lot of top end. But then again, I am bias.

normally i would recommend a suzuki as well.
but this person seems to like the full fairing look.
so yeah, you might wanna try an SV650S as well and just add full fairings into it to get that full sport image.

Thanks for the replys guys, but I'm really looking for information on the bikes listed. I've found a 2001 CRB F4I at a dealer here that is willing to drop his askign price of $5200 to around $4100 because the bike is going out to auction. I'm goign to look at it soon. I'm really interested though in the R6, it jsut seems like a bike that I would really get used to. As for the uses, I will be using the bike up in NH where the roads aren't that crowded. I'm not buying it to be a tool and pull wheelies and stuff. I jsut want a nice looking bike, that gets good gas mileage and the ladies. I also don't want to buy one of those bikes jsut to be looking for a new bike next year or even mid summer, I adjust well to power, I have gasoline running through my veins, not blood guys, I've grown up on 2-stroke motors and such.
Thanks,
Eddy

As you can see you are not getting a lot of replies, as many others that have come to this forum you are looking for confirmation of the decision you have already made. the comments we have made ARE FROM EXPERIANCE. Real life stuff, not comic books. You are talking about the deadliest catagory of bikes out there. 600's are wicked nastly little machines, there are bikes out there with twice the HP and CC's that are much better behaved. I for one am not going to approve the decision that you have so obviously made.
