It all comes down to personal opinion.

Check around for better prices.

I don't know if I would get the carbon fiber one. I like something that I can see through if I have to. I put a regular tinted speed screen (double bubble) on my bike, I like it alot and it looks good too. 8)

really now, carbon fiber doesn't allow you to see through like a regular tinted?

i find that very strange. i'll ask around for more info.

thanks.

Carbon fiber is opaque, i.e. you can see through it.

looks cool, definately better than the mirrored screens that seem so popular.

has the same problem as the mirrored screens, you cant see through it.

I would probably go with a clear or lightly tinted double bubble myself. That way I can get some wind protection without having to go into a full tuck.

If it were actually carbon fiber, you wouldn't be able to see through it. Real carbon fiber is opaque, like fiberglass. The screen in your link says :

"Hot carbon-look graphics are embedded in .125 of premium extruded acrylic. "

I have no idea what "carbon-look" is, but acrylic is generally transparent.

A good friend of mine has installed a tinted shield on his GSX-R, it looks awesome and he loves it. However, he did say he has some problems seeing through it. Although, how often do you look through the screen on a sport bike. I've never ridden one, so I honestly don't know.

Go for it V, if you are not going to spend that money on a woman then the screen looks good. It may be a while before you are tucking down enough to look through the screen anyway.

I think the black would look great on your bike.

Carbon fiber is used as a light material on a vehicle part that can afford less strength, like a hood for example. Lighter vehicle = faster car, although it really only applies to racing vehicles. Thats why you see carbon fiber on alot of hondas, because they want you to think their car is fast. Some people like the checkered look and have gone so far as to put it in their interiors. Its a fad, reserved mostly for teenagers. Unfortunately because of this, carbon fiber really has gotten a bad name (since its misused or 'faked', giving it the definate 'poser' status).

If you get the carbon fiber you'll have to figure out how to mount a aluminum spoiler on the back and tweak the exhaust to sound like a leaf blower.

they also have a smoke tint. i'll just go w/ this since like my dark smoke tinted visor, i didn't have problems looking through it even at night.
