AAA gave me good rate but you need to have car insured w/ them 1st before they insure your bike.

im paying $1900/yr - comprehensive for my bike, liability only for my car.

i could have gotten $1600/yr if it wasn't for the ticket i got last november.

My carrier is Progressive. $374 a year. Your milage may vary.

progressive quoted me around 9,000 for comprehensive for my bike. w/ that rate, i could just buy a new bike every year.

that's crazy!

w/ AAA i got $900 for my bike and another $980 for my car. so thank god for AAA. :D

I was looking at progressive and geico online quotes. For the coverage I I think I need the ranges seemed between $400-$700 per year (I don't own a car). Any comments on how much coverage is adequate? My bike is a starter bike so insuring it might not be worth it but the other stuff?

Up here in Canada Dairyland sells milk and ice cream. :P

I just renewed my insurance today. Here in BC you have to get the liability with ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia), but you can get optional insurance like collision and comprehensive at competitors.
I have my optional with Beacon....because I don't have a sport bike and I don't have one of the popular kind to steal, it was $325.00.
along with the ICBC I paid $970. for the year.
ICBC for everything would have been over $1,600.00.

Your guys Liability coverage is socialized? Weird. I thought Canada only socialized their healthcare system, railroads, and airlines
