I have a sign over my bedroom door that says, "Warning, all unattended children be sold as slaves."
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

They had that sign in our local bowling alley a long time ago. I was always afraid they were serious (7 years old and naive).


Nowadays I'll bet they couldn't get away with it even if they tried.
