Removing old tank protector

Hi all

Has anyone had any success removing an old tank protector. What solvents work?

1st off , welcome to the TMW Forums .
Secondly , can you post a pic of the tank or at least tell us what it is off of and the approximate vintage ?
And 3rd , I aced a class a long time ago called youth 101............ :laughing:

Try a hair dryer to remove the tank protector, then WD-40 or Goo-Gone to remove the glue.

Don't use a heat gun!
