long term bike goals you've set for yourself?

#1 Unread post by VermilionX »

me... the only time i can acknowledge myself as a true rider is when.

#1 i can do 0-60mph in 2.56 secs or less on my bike.

i found 2.56 secs for the gixxer1000 '03 road test. but since the '05 and '06 are more powerful, it should be able to do it in less than 2.56 secs.

#2 i can take corners agressively succesfully.

how about you guys?

Laugh

1) Go out and have fun on every ride
2) Improve in some way on every ride
3) Not crash on every ride

Those are my goals.

As for that 2.56seconds, that'll be REALLY REALLY REALLY though to get, but I'm sure you'll do it...

*edit* Thought of one more

4) Never get caught wearing a cape in public
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Long-term goal.....park two or three more bikes next to this one, as well as a quad.

Seriously, though, if I could just stop buying things for this one that'd be great! I have the exhaust installed, I have the intake and TFI waiting for installation, I just shipped one of these to my painter, and I just ordered a new windshield last night.

Next on the list is to have my wheels chromed...

I just read that getting your wheels chromed isn't really that great of an idea. Something about having to do multiple coats of multiple different metals to get a smooth bond for the final chrome. That can both throw off the wheel balance AND make it tougher to fit tires. Might be worth looking into. Those balancing clips look pretty bad.
