why is ducati using a 749?

while suzuki only uses the gixxer600 instead of the 750.

and kawasaki only uses the ZX-6RR instead of the ZX-6R.

and also, i heard that the suzuki gixxer750 is the best trackbike since it has both maneuverability on turns like the 600s, and has some power close to the 1000s on straights.

does this sound real?

cause ducati uses a vtwin where the others get a I4. The Ducati still falls within the HP limits so they okay'd it. Or at least that's my understanding.

Ducati can't keep up if they play by the same rules as everyone else.

It's the same reason you don't see toyota/nissan/honda in NASCAR, they don't have a motor that meets the requirements, no pushrods (i THINK that's it, don't really follow nascar). But in Ducati's case, they're allowed.
