Hey crew. It's been a while since I jumped on here and it truly sucks that all the postings were lost... so I'm not sure if this has been covered before or not.
I bought an 83 Virago 750 last fall and have been working on it over the last month or so to try and get it road ready. I'm trying to get the carbs off so that I can give them a thorough cleaning as the bike has been sitting for a few years. I've got my trusty Clymer manual and followed all the steps. Carb is loose of all connections and from the engine, so I go to pull it out... Clank... Hits the frame. Try to rotate it, hits the engine. Is there something I'm missing? Do the two halves separate? I'm hoping it can come out without un-mounting the engine. Anyone have any ideas or experience with this?
Thanks
