Have a Problem Starting the Bike

I have a '95 EX250. What happened is, I started my bike but as it warmed up the bike stalled. As i tried to start it some more times, the bike would stall faster each time and now it won't start. It just cranks over and over. I wanted to know what you guys think the problem might be? It is probably to sophiscated for me, especially since I just got the bike and do not know how to do much mechanically, so do you guys think it would be an expensive fix?

I'd put this in the trouble shooting section. Are you sure it has gas in it? That's what my bike would do when it was running low...

. I'm such a noob,
. The guy told me there was half a tank, so I didn't think about the fuel. I put the petcock to reserve, and it started. God........ I'm just happy everything is fine, and I'm just stupid.

At some point, we've all been noobs, lol.....
Don't be too hard on yourself. Stupid is a tough label for anyone. To me it implies not a lack of knowledge, but a refusal to use the knowledge you have. In other words, if you had no troubleshooting skills, how can you fault yourself for not doing the right thing??? Now, if it happens again and you don't catch on.... well that's a whole new ballgame, lol.

So don't let that catch you either.

hey Chris, I occasionally forget to turn the petcock from off to on and have to do it while on the move a while later...
And I once forgot I was on reserve and had to be picked up by my partner later...

Although I felt mentally challenged yesterday, today has been really good, for the most part. Since I don't have a gas canister, I decided to walk to the gas station with the bike. It's a lot harder than it looked is all I can say. At one point I leaned it over too much, and it fell over
. Good part is since I was going less than 1mph and since I slowed the fall up, nothing got hurt
. I finally got to the gas station, which I think is a mile and a half mostly uphill but was a slight incline.
On my way back, I was tired as hell and thought no way am I doing this the way back, so I gave in and rode it home most of the way. Since I decided not to bring a helmet, which I should've done, I drove it on the sidewalk. Now this sounds bad at first, but I was practicing getting to the friction point and after I had that down giving some throttle while letting the clutch go. The needle never really moved, so I figure I never got higher than 5mph. When I got home, I suited all up with helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, and some boots I have and rode around some side streets for an hour. It was a blast
