I have an 82' V45 Magna and had tried starting it after it's been sitting for a year. I drained all the gas out of the tanks and carb bowls. I tried cranking it over with fresh gas in it but when I go to drain fresh gas from the carb bowls there is no gas in them. Any ideas what I should check prior to tearing the carbs off the bike to see if gas is getting to the bowls. One carb bowl is getting fresh gas but the other three aren't. Thanks.

take the fuel line off that comes from the fuel pump to the carburetors.
hold it so gas will run in something to catch it.turn the ignition key on and
flip thev kill switch located on the right side of handlebar.every time you flip the kill switch from off to on the pump will pump.it only pumps constantly when the engine is running.if gas squirts out hook line back up and flip it about 50 times to fill carburetors up.or you can take a squirt can filled with gas and fill the carbs up from where you disconnected the hose if you dont want to do all that flipping of the switch.

be sure to turn the fuel valve to the on position.

fuel gunk can cause the float valves to stick and hence not allow fuels into the carbs. Since they do rely on gravity to let fuel in anyway.

What works on my radian is to rock the bike while pressing the front brakes. This should jar them bowls enough to let fuel in. Try that: if it works, then try some in tank carb cleaner, Of course the *RIGHT* way to do it is to clean the carbs <chuckle>
