Yet another new tyre

16500 kms since May 2005 and I need another back tyre and this time a front too. Going with the Metzler Z6 this time, maybe I will get a bit more than 5000.

Put a set of Metzler Z6 on today cost me R2000.00, approx 300 dollars.
Hey Mods, how about we put a sticky for mileage on new tyres so we can see what we get.
Write up a post about tires - sort of a statement of purpose post, and see if we can generate some posts about brands and milage. If we get enough interest, we can ask Mike (totalmotorcycle) to make that thread sticky, if it yields enough useful information.sapaul wrote:Hey Mods, how about we put a sticky for mileage on new tyres so we can see what we get.
Paul, if you would only give up about 100 HP and 100# of excessive bike weight you could get 12-14,000 MILES out of a set of good sport touring radials.sapaul wrote:16500 kms since May 2005 and I need another back tyre and this time a front too.
