dispatch voices?

im watchin worlds wildest police videos right now, and i thought about something, the dispatch person seems to always been a women. Anyone know why? are their male dispatch people or what?

Just a wild guess....
The warning voices in military aircraft are female because they found that a woman's voice registers before most anything else to a man's brain. Including buzzers, horns, sirens, commanding male voices, etc.
Most combat pilots are male..... used to be they all were, back when the precident was set.....so are most cops.... maybe...

I recall reading something that said that the tone of a womans voice will cut through background noise better than a mans voice. Something to do with the higher pitch of a female voice and generally low frequency background noise.
Dont be suprised in about 20 years if most combat pilots are women. According to research done by the US Air Force Women are physically better suited for flying fighter jets, they tend to have better reaction time than men and their physique is better suited for handling high G forces.
