Need some help with a paint design

I need some help coming up with a good paint scheme to cover the patch work I have to do on my leaking tank.

I really want to keep the red on the tank so it matches the rest of the bike, but I have to at the very least paint the bottom five inches of the sides to cover all the ugly. The last picture is about as creative as I get on my own. I'm hoping there are some artists out there who could help me create a better paint scheme. I don't have a goose to agree to posting bathing suit pics, but I feel you guys are nice enough to help me all the same.

Pictures of the messed up fairing that I'm going to fix as well. If you want to go for the gold and sketch something out for this as well- then you'd be Awesome.

Im thinking it might look really good if you just took that plastic face off. It looks pretty broken, including the windshield which probably also would need replacing. Might look good without it, then you can paint the body. Maybe put a round headlight up front. You might want to repaint those mirrors too!

Does this run? It looks good close up for $100.

Runs like a top with a small leak in the tank that I'm fixing today.

I'm going to try to color match on that bottom strip and sort of feather the edge to make it blend in a bit.

I have the fairing off and I'm in the process of fixing it. I'll probably have to order another shield $50 but I like the look of it better with teh sport fairing.

I think if you are going to do a stripe like the ony pictured, white or black would look better than yellow...IMO.

Decided against the stripe, just didn't think I'd be able to get a good rattle can paint match. Until I have time to repaint the whole bike in one color (definately later in the spring) I'm just going to try to get as close as I can with a spray can and feather it so it sort of blends.

I don't think I want to help you. I'm too jealous that you found it for $100...

Kidding kidding. Anyways, I know you want to keep it red but why not just repaint the entire bike? Probably be alot easier and cheaper in the long run. Wouldn't have to try and match the colors or come up with a design then.

I plan to eventually repaint it. Right now I don't have the time and the weather isn't really warm enough for it. I also want to hold off until I finish fixing the fairing and then I'll have to agonize about what color to paint it. RIght now I'm painting about a square foot to cover up the patch job and the ugliness the previous owner had on the tank. Check out the pictures from the left.
