ZZR600 vs YZF600R
ZZR600 vs YZF600R
I have been riding cruiser for a couple of yrs and this winter have gotten the itch to get a sport bike. The ZZR600 and the YZF600R are the front runners for me, does anyone have any suggestions, also, have looked and can't find how the 750 Katana match up with these. Performance wise, will it hang?
I appreciate any input on this,
Cal

i think the kat would keep up just fine. As for the two bikes. As for the 2 600s, well i think that the YZF is the more powerful of the two. The site i use to get my stats is down but im fairly sure the YZF has more HP and is quicker than the ZZR. Sorry i cant help much more

i'll just comment on looks since http://www.motorbikes.be/en is down for maintenance.
the ZZR600 is better looking than the YZF600R.
why don't you just get a full RR bike? too expensive?
why not choose between a ZX-6RR and YZF-R6 instead?
anyway... the '06 R6 is very cool but still not as cool as the '06 GSX-R600.

Price is definately the reason I am going with these two bikes, and I do think I like the looks of the Kawi better. Before I started looking for a new bike I was thinking, "I wish I could find a new sportbike for about 7k" and lo and behold I found them. 9g's is just too much right now, we are gonna get a new car too...

well, as much as a suzuki fanboy i am. im not gonne vote for the katana among your list.
the ZZR600 looks the coolest among the three you mentioned.
the YZF600R and katana both have a single long seat, and i really don't like that on a sportbike.
maybe the ZZR600 comes w/ a solo cowl or if not, you should get one for your bike.
you mentioned $9K is too much but isn't the YZF600R $9K?
