It's getting worse, much worse...

Legislation just received it's second reading in the Houses of Parliment that will essentially enable Ministers of Gonvernment to make law by decree as they see the 'best interests of the people'.

This legislation will apply to all legislation, including itself and once it is enacted into Law cannot be challenged by Members of Parliment.

The two historical examples that spring to mind who have previously managed to pass laws like this are Adolf Hitler in '33 and Oliver Cromwell in the 1600's...

We, that is to say Britain is so screwed and I am so depressed right now.

Moving from one police state to another never solved anything, unfortunately. I'd be over like a shot if I thought things were any better over there. Your myths of freedom are stronger and more widely believed than ours, but that is about all.
