altering my jeans

#1 Unread post by vector18 »

One or two of my jeans are too long and get under my shoes sometimes.
Do any of you have any suggestions on what I could do?

Tuck the ends into your shoes. Or buy some new jeans in short.

Oh, that's easy all you need is a stapler, fold your cuffs under then staple them in place.

As you grow up you can remove the stables and then turn the cuffs down a little more so the pants are a bit longer. One of these days you'll stop growing (when you hit 20 or 21) and it won't matter anymore.

Until then, just keep rolling up those cuffs.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Take them to a professional demem tailor and have them hem the legs so they will be the correct and safe length. I would not try this alone without proper supervision, we all know the complex stitching of a pair of jeans is critical to the safety of the wearer.

Safety pins. I had a pair of pants that were too long, I just folded the bottom up into the leg, and safety pinned them in place.

just get them hemmed. cheap and easy. If you have a spouse/significant other that can sew its even easier (aside from bribing them to do sewing for you)

Are you guys sure, isn't there complicated stitching and stuff? I mean, I don't want to mess up my jeans or anything.

You made your point, it isn't funny though.
