New Bike Warranty question

#1 Unread post by TheImp »

Hey. I was looking into the possibility of buying an 05 version of a vulcan from a local dealership which is unregistered, so a leftover new model. But I was wondering about the 1 year factory warranty that comes with it. Does the clock start ticking off the assembly line or from time of initial purchase? Its too late to call the dealership, and I'd probably feel more at ease getting a consenus here than hearing from a salesman I won't trust anyhow.

Usually, warrantees start when an item is first purchased. (i.e. when you buy it)

Yeah, I should probably have figured that's the case. I guess I'm only trying to find any kind of 'gotchas' here since this is my first bike purchase. Thanks.

Warranty starts on day of purchase (just bought one ) . Also purchased 4 yr. extended warranty on e-bay for a great price $350.
