Well, looks like everything is going to come out alright. I need a new shift lever, new handle bars and a steering head (I think thats the right term) adjustment. They pressure tested the radiator, and it turns out its just bent a little, but it still is in perfect working condition. And the dent in the tank will be taken care of with the recall. SO....I'm not as royally screwed as i thought I was! See you guys on the road again soon!

Won't make it this weekend VX, unless my bars come in tomorrow (very small possibility, they had to order them). They said I'm probably looking at early next week though. Maybe next weekend, we'll keep in touch I'm sure.

Have them install frame sliders also.

Cheaper and not as ugly solution: don't drop the bike.

I for one am pleased that things are turning out OK for you. File it under, "things that you only do once"

Yeah, I'm not a fan of frame sliders...I'd rather just become a better rider so a little bit of rain doesn't cause me to wipe out!

You aren't the first person to drop a bike like that, and you won't be last. I'm glad to hear that it'll be a relatively cheap fix, that you're still in one peice, and that it hasn't put you off the sport.

That being said, if you fit the right frame sliders you won't even notice them.

Yea, I learned not to leave my bike on the side stand on an inclined slope. I did that, and it fell..... for thge second time :frusty: . Only thing that happened was mirror got a little scuff and the right foot peg broke. I fixed that though with some heavy duty krazy glue. Rode with it glued together, and it was fine, so I am happy. I am SOOOOOO glad I got a used bike. I would be crying if I did that to a new one. I look at it this way, all that happens is a learning experience, and this is a time to get out all those drops and mishaps out of the way.
