Honda partners with Q Awards

As the official motorcycle sponsor of the 2018 Q Awards, Honda displayed an array of motorcycles befitting of the exclusive event, hosted at the London Roundhouse. In its support of the music industry awards ceremony, Honda Motorcycles also sponsored the Q Life Time Achievement Award that was claimed by Brett Anderson.

Honda’s presence at the world-renowned performance venue emphasised the diversity of its model range. Suspended centrally, from the ceiling of the concert hall, a spot-lit CBR1000RR Fireblade SP reigned over the tables of stars below; and assuming an equally prominent position on stage was the Glemseck CB1000R sporting its eye-catching livery.

Whilst on the red carpet, the stars shared space with Honda’s returning icons in the shape of the recently released Monkey and the all-new Super Cub C125, the latter of which made its UK debut on the night.

Brett Anderson won the Life Time Achievement Award, presented by Honda Motorcycles, on account of his contribution to the music industry over the course of his career. Each year the ceremony recognises British talent, within the world of music, rewarding artists and bands for their efforts and successes.

Neil Fletcher, Head of Motorcycles Honda UK, expressed his excitement regarding the event. ‘It’s fantastic to see our motorcycles amongst the leading lights of the UK music scene. There’s always been a natural affinity between music and motorcycles and we’re continuing that tradition at this prestigious event. Hopefully our showing here will encourage younger people to explore motorcycles’.

A spokesperson for Q Magazine commented: “We’re delighted to partner with Honda Motorcycles at this year’s star-studded Q Awards ceremony. Honda’s pedigree in motorcycles is a perfect match for Q’s in music and it was great to bring some of the excitement of two-wheels to a raucous event.”
