The Street Twin is our most contemporary, fun and accessible Bonneville, powered by our signature high torque 900cc engine. With its unique character, distinctive sound, stripped back styling and dynamic riding experience, the Street Twin is the perfect Bonneville for today’s rider.

 

THE ORIGINAL BRITISH SUPERBIKE

Named to celebrate the 1956 motorcycle land speed record smashing Triumph streamliner and built to deliver class leading performance, adding twin carbs to the snarling Tiger 110, the 59 Bonneville was born. A race winner straight out of the crate, Bonneville was there at the birth of modern motorsport, winning AMA Flat Track races, the Isle of Man TT, the International Six Day Trials and countless Thruxton 500 races, where it got its legendary racing name. Lusted after by a generation of 60’s teenage rockers it was first choice for famous bikers including the iconic movie star Steve McQueen.

 

BONNEVILLE ENGINE FAMILY

A new generation Bonneville engine family built specifically for the modern classic riding style, with more torque, more immediate and exciting power delivery and a richer sound you can really feel and hear. With three new engines – the 900cc high torque engine of the new Street Twin and Street Cup and Bonneville T100 and T100 Black – delivering 18% more peak torque than the previous generation, the 1200cc high torque engine of the Bonneville T120 and T120 Black with over 54% more torque, and the game changing 1200cc high power ‘Thruxton spec’ engine which punches out over 62% more than torque the previous Thruxton 900.

All with truly modern capability, including ride-by-wire, for sharper responsiveness and liquid cooling for amazing fuel economy, 36% improvement on the Bonneville T100 alone.

SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCED FUEL ECONOMY

Behind our signature 900 engines stylish exterior sits a cutting edge liquid cooling system designed to minimise its visual impact whilst achieving cleaner emissions and enhancing fuel efficiency – delivering a massive 36% better fuel economy than the previous generation Bonneville.

 

THRILLING ENGINE

The unique character of the Street twin comes to life through a signature 900cc ‘high torque’ 8 valve, parallel twin engine.

As the name suggests it delivers a massive peak torque figure of 80Nm at a low 3200 rpm – an amazing 18% more than the previous model, delivered low down and across the whole rev range.

Benefiting from the pin-point accuracy and instant throttle response of Triumph’s next generation ride-by-wire fuel-injection and engine management system, the Bonneville Street Twin is engineered with a charismatic 270° firing interval for an immaculately smooth, linear power delivery through the smooth 5-speed gearbox.

 

BEAUTIFUL STYLE AND SOUND

The Bonneville 900cc engine has been beautifully styled with a high level of detailing and finish to incorporate styling cues from the legendary Bonneville engine silhouette, whilst also incorporating contemporary engine components to carefully maintain that truly authentic look.

The Street Twin’s exhaust delivers the unmistakable sound of a British twin, with a rich and raw note that matches its character, tuned to a level you can feel as well as hear.

The Street Twin features stylish, high quality details and finishes, including cast wheels, a dedicated Street Twin fuel tank, contemporary graphics all enhanced through an exciting range of tank colours – Cranberry Red, Aluminium Silver, Matt Black, Phantom Black and Jet Black.

 

ORIGINAL STYLING

A contemporary take on the original Bonneville silhouette, the Street Twin has sharp, refined stripped back styling, inspired by the New Wave Custom Scene. Clean lines and minimal bodywork for a youthful overall look.

An LED rear light, incorporated into a stripped back and stylish tail set-up, bring a distinctive signature light pattern and power efficiency for long term durability.

 

Feature Clock

The Street Twin’s stylish feature-packed single clock cleverly incorporates a digital menu system accessed by a handlebar mounted scroll button. Key features include: Gear position indicator, odometer, two trip settings, service indicator, range to empty, fuel level, average and current MPG, clock, access to turn off traction control.

 

USB Charging point

An underseat USB socket is provided so you can charge up your essential devices.

 

ABS

The contemporary safety standard, Triumph’s anti-lock braking system brings a new level of control to the Street Twin.

 

Ride-by-wire

The Street Twin’s electronic ride-by-wire system enhances throttle control, responsiveness, safety and feel.

 

Traction Control

Taking advantage of the sophisticated ride-by-wire system the Street Twin incorporates a switchable traction control system that optimises the delivery of its class leading torque.

 

Torque assist clutch

Bringing a light touch and feel to the clutch control of the Street Twin, the torque assist clutch system makes it easy to ride, and ride longer.

 

Engine Immobiliser

A security device that integrates a transponder into your key, linked to a receiver in the ignition system, that prevents the engine from running if the correct key isn’t used.

 

Fingertip Controls

The Street Twin switchgear presents a simple fingertip control scroll button for easy access to the key features on the new digital clock.

 

BETTER COMFORT AND CONTROL

With a low seat for a comfortable riding stance, combining footpeg, handlebar and seating positions, a narrow front of seat area for improved ‘stand-over’ ergonomics, more substantial seat foam and greater suspension travel, the Street Twin is our most accessible Bonneville to date.
