2022 Kawasaki KX450X: THE BIKE THAT BUILDS CHAMPIONS.
Introducing the 2022 Kawasaki KX450X…
The Kawasaki KX motorcycle range returns stronger than ever for 2022 with its championship-winning packages, including its recently introduced off-road competition models.
Leading the way as the flagship model in the Kawasaki KX range is the KX450 with a powerful 449cc engine, electric start, Showa A-KIT technology suspension, and a coned disc-spring hydraulic clutch that have proven to capture awards, accolades, and race wins.
All-new in 2021, the 2022 KX250 remains the most powerful KX250 to date and features a slim aluminum perimeter frame, electric start, and coned disc-spring hydraulic clutch. The KX250 has more AMA motocross and supercross championships combined than any other manufacturer in its class, truly making it the bike that builds champions.
Powered by technology that hails from a legacy of champions, Kawasaki’s KX motorcycle range saw the addition of the KX450X and KX250X cross country models in 2021, bringing purposely tuned off-road competition models to the KX lineup. Developed to dominate off-road racecourses in both the woods and the desert, the cross-country KX lineup offers riders the required components for off-road competition straight from Kawasaki along with the dominant engine and chassis performance found on its KX counterparts right off the showroom floor.

The KX™450 has a potent engine mountede in a lean chassis for quick lap times to put its riders on top of the podium. Featuring electric start, easy-pull hydraulic clutch, and 49mm Showa coil spring forks with A-KIT technology, the KX450 is a strong contender for premiere-class supremacy.
Kawasaki introduced all-new off-road cross country competition models last year with the KX450X and KX250X models, featuring the same championship-proven technology found on KX race machines and purposely tuned them for off-road competition. Kawasaki’s rich history in off-road racing consists of more than 25 championships in WORCS, National Hare & Hound, GNCC, and Endurocross over the past 20 years.
The KX450X and KX250X share many winning traits with their motocross counterparts including the engine, frame, chassis, and styling. That successful base is paired with unique cross-country tuning and settings such as softer suspension settings, shorter gearing, off-road 21”/18” wheel combination, Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires, brake components, skid plate, and kickstand. The softer suspension settings and shorter gear ratio help create the optimal handling package for the race-ready off-road KX lineup.

KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode)
Designed to assist riders by optimizing acceleration from a stop, KLCM electronically manages engine output to minimize wheel spin when moving off. With the clutch lever pulled in and the system activated, engine speed is limited to a determined speed while the rider holds the throttle open. Once the rider releases the clutch lever to engage the clutch, engine speed is allowed to increase, but power is regulated to minimize wheel spin and help keep the front wheel on the ground. The system disengages automatically once a predetermined speed has been reached, or when the rider shifts into third gear. Depending on the model, riders can choose from multiple modes, each offering a progressively greater level of intrusion.
ERGO-FIT
Proper fit is key for rider comfort and control. However, the ideal fit varies from rider to rider, depending on their physical dimensions and riding style.
ERGO-FIT® is an interface system designed to allow riders to find their ideal riding position. Various points of the chassis interface (the handlebar, footpegs and seat, etc.) can be adjusted through a combination of interchangeable parts and parts with adjustable positions. This enables a wide range of riders to find a riding position that offers both comfort and control. Feeling at one with their machine, they will be able to experience how Kawasaki machines are fun and rewarding to ride. *Adjustable parts and their range of adjustability vary by model.
